Extreme E with AFC Energy has launched the hydrogen fuel cell generator which will play a key role in the opening season of this new electric racing series, starting April 2021. This technology will allow Extreme E to charge its race fleet using zero emission energy, with the only by-product being water for utilization elsewhere at each of its five races. AFC Energy has worked closely with Extreme E to design and complete a bespoke fuel cell and operating system, requiring a detailed understanding of the extremities of conditions in each race location to support the system’s deployment in being…

The study published by the hydrogen import coalition – a collaboration between DEME, ENGIE, Exmar, Fluxys, Port of Antwerp, Port of Zeebrugge and WaterstofNet – has concluded that in order to meet the challenge of the transition to a carbon-neutral society by 2050, we need to look beyond our own production of renewable energy generated domestically or offshore. The thorough feasibility study is the first tangible result of the collaboration between the companies involved, each with its own specific and complementary expertise and experience. This laid the basis for concrete next steps, including pilot projects for the supply of sustainable…
