Vestas has received an order of 63 MW for two wind projects from Statkraft, Europe’s largest producer of renewable energy and a multinational energy trading group, following the RESS1 Auction in Ireland. Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) has requested approval from the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) for six additional energy storage projects totaling 387 megawatts (MW) of capacity. Designed to further incorporate clean energy from renewable energy sources while helping to ensure future reliability of the electrical grid. Siemens Gamesa has signed a 66 MW deal to supply the Swedish wind energy supplier Rabbalshede Kraft with its Siemens Gamesa 5.X platform, as this market-leading turbine is gaining strength in the Nordic region. Canadian Solar has sold the remaining 30 percent ownership of the Big Fish SPV (Big Fish) and Iron SPV (Iron) solar projects to Falck Renewables.
