Canadian Solar has completed the sale of Gunma Aramaki, a 19 MWp operational solar power plant in the Yamaguchi Prefecture in Japan for approximately $64 million. Canadian Solar sold its equity interest in the project to a number of passive investors in Japan and remains the asset manager and provider of operations and maintenance (O&M) services under a long-term arrangement. Gunma Aramaki entered commercial service in December 2018 and is powered by Canadian Solar High Efficiency Modules. Ventolines has signed as an offshore wind expert partner for the Mayflower Wind project off Massachusetts and opened its first permanent U.S. office in Boston. Mayflower Wind, a joint venture between Shell New Energies and Ocean Winds (the global offshore wind partnership between EDP Renewables and ENGIE), will produce enough clean energy to power more than half a million homes in Massachusetts. Siemens Gamesa has signed a wind power supply agreement with Ørsted for the 298-MW Haystack wind farm in Nebraska. The Haystack project includes the supply of 51 SG 5.0-145 wind turbines and 18 safe harbor turbines. EDP Renewables (EDPR) has been awarded a 15-year Contract-for-Difference (CfD) at the Polish renewable energy auction to sell electricity to be produced by a portfolio of 5 projects of wind and solar with a total capacity of 220 MW. RWE Renewables has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with E.ON UK under which the company will sell 100 percent of the electricity generated by the Humber Gateway offshore wind farm from 2022 to 2035. Cubico Sustainable Investments (Cubico) has reached an agreement to acquire Grupo T-Solar, a solar power generation platform with assets across Spain and Italy, from I Squared Capital. The platform, which comprises 47 operational assets with a capacity of 274 MW, includes 167 MW of solar PV and 100 MW of concentrated solar power across Spain, as well as 7 MW of solar PV in Italy.
