Sun Investment Group (SIG) and Ignitis Renewables have signed a contract under which Ignitis Renewables will acquire a turnkey portfolio of 170 MWp built by SIG in Poland. Iberdrola is targeting the Japanese market as a new platform for growth in renewable energy, in particular in the field of offshore wind. The company has reached an agreement with Macquarie’s Green Investment Group to buy 100 percent of Acacia Renewables, a local developer. EnBW is steadily expanding its portfolio onshore wind energy. The Coradia iLint, built by Alstom in Salzgitter, Germany, makes use of on-board fuel cells to turn hydrogen and oxygen into energy, reducing operating emissions to zero. EDF Renewables and Enbridge celebrated the production of the first GE Renewable Energy nacelle, for the future wind farm implemented by EDF Renewables-Enbridge in Saint-Nazaire. This nacelle, which contains the generator, is the first to be installed by GE Renewable Energy at the Montoir-de-Bretagne production site in a series of Haliade 150-6MW wind turbines, generated for the Saint-Nazaire offshore wind farm. Nexamp is acquiring a 10-project, 50-megawatt portfolio of community solar projects from Dimension Energy.
