Enel Green Power has been awarded 68MW of new renewable capacity for two wind projects in the second renewable auction launched by the Italian state owned energy service company GSE (Gestore Servizi Energetici). A nominal capacity of 38.3MW deriving from the repowering of already-operational hydro plants is also included. The two wind farms are located in Campania and Basilicata. Vestas has received an order for a project in China that involves the supply of 17 V120-2.2 MW wind turbines with 141 meter towers delivered in 2.4 MW Power Optimized Mode. The order also includes a 5-year Active Output Management 4000 (AOM 4000) service agreement. Deliveries are expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2020, with commissioning planned for the same quarter. The project and customer are undisclosed.
Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy has received a firm order for 62 SG 8.0-167 DD offshore wind turbines for 496 MW Bay of Saint Brieuc offshore wind power plant from Ailes Marine, an affiliate of Iberdrola. DEME recently entered into partnerships through its subsidiary DEME Concessions for green hydrogen production in the ports of Ostend and Duqm. Drydocks World has held a steel-cutting ceremony to start production on a High Voltage Alternating Current (HVAC) transformer station topside, named Hollandse Kust Zuid (HKZ) Beta. This is the third topside to be installed for Petrofac and end-client TenneT by Drydocks World, and the second project for wind farm HKZ. The last of the three pre-assembled wind turbine platforms that make up EDP Renewables WindFloat Atlantic project has left the Port of Ferrol, heading to its final destination 20 kilometers off Portugal’s coast at Viana do Castelo, on a journey that will take three days. Connecting this last unit to the pre-laid mooring system and connecting it to the rest of the offshore wind farm will complete this operation.
