Schletter Group has relocated its Shanghai site to a new plant, expanding its production capacities in China. “At our new location, which is tailored to our requirements, we now have the capacities we need for our growing business. Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy will supply the 2.640MW Dominion Energy Coastal Virginia offshore wind (CVOW) commercial project with SG 14-222 Direct Drive offshore wind turbines. BELECTRIC is constructing a solar power system for Vattenfall’s first full hybrid power plant. The energy park Haringvliet Zuid will consist of a wind farm (22 MW), a battery storage system (12 MW) and a large-scale photovoltaic system built and commissioned by German solar specialist BELECTRIC. The solar power system alone will cover an area of about 30 hectares and will feature a 38 MW installed capacity. Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE) and Hai Long Offshore Wind (Hai Long) have confirmed that they plan to use the new SG 14-222 DD offshore wind turbine for the upcoming 300 MW Hai Long 2 project in Taiwan. The deployment of the turbine for the rest of the 1.044 MW Hai Long pipeline is also being considered. Tekmar Group has reported the involvement of its operating companies: Ryder Geotechnical, Agiletek Engineering, Tekmar Energy, and Pipeshield International in the Coastal Virginia offshore wind project (CVOW) on the East Coast of the US. The project involves the installation of two 6MW offshore wind turbines. Enel Green Power North America has started operating a 50 MW expansion of the High Lonesome wind farm in Upton and Crockett Counties, Texas, raising the group’s largest operational wind project to 500 MW in its global renewable portfolio. Southern Power has acquired its 13th wind project — the 56MW Beech Ridge II wind facility from Invenergy. Located in Greenbrier County, West Virginia, Invenergy has developed Beech Ridge II which uses 20 wind turbines produced by GE Renewable Energy.
