GE Renewables has signed its first contract with Power China Guizhou Engineering to supply 12 units of 2.5-132 low-wind speed turbines for a 30MW wind farm near Puyang city, China. The order includes a two-year service agreement. This is the first onshore wind contract in China with PowerChina, a long-term global EPC partner of GE. Ørsted has recently installed the 25th of Borssele 1 & 2’s 8MW wind turbines, it was also the 1.500th offshore wind turbine installed by Ørsted. Before construction started at Borssele 1 & 2, Ørsted had already installed 6.8GW of offshore wind capacity worldwide, which provides green electricity for the equivalent of 6.6 million households annually. Neoen has started construction of Yllikkälä Power Reserve One, a new 30 MW power storage facility with a storage capacity of 30 MWh, in Finland. The facility will be in the southeast of the country, near Lappeenranta. The facility is expected to play a crucial role in stabilizing the Fingrid-managed national electricity network. Crown Estate Scotland has launched the first round of offshore wind leasing in Scottish waters for a decade. The multi-billion pound investment opportunity will form a major part of Scotland’s green recovery.  The round, called ScotWind Leasing, allows companies at the cutting edge of offshore renewables to apply to build the new generation of offshore wind farms in Scotland and to help drive the transition towards a net zero future. Austrom Hydrogen has secured land in Callide, Queensland with enough capacity to establish a 3.600 MW solar powered hydrogen facility. With close proximity to the existing power grid and the Port of Gladstone, it is ideally positioned to become Queensland’s new renewable power center. COWI in collaboration with Energinet assisted the Danish Energy Agency in fine screening potential sites for future offshore wind farms and energy islands in Denmark. Siemens has received an order from Semco Maritime to provide the main electrical equipment for the electrical service platform (ESP) of the offshore wind project Mayflower Wind.
