The engineering phase of the Hydrogen Valley near Rome, which is based on NextChem’s waste to chemicals technology, has started, thanks to the MyRechemical, a subsidiary of NextChem as Maire Tecnimont informed.
Through MyRechemical, NextChem has begun to engineer the transformation of trash into circular gasTM, which will serve as the raw material for the manufacturing of ethanol and hydrogen.
In this case, LanzaTech was given an engineering contract by NextChem to provide the process design for a syngas fermentation unit based on LanzaTech’s biocatalysis technology to create circular ethanol meant for environmentally friendly transportation and chemicals. In 2023, the design engineering phase is anticipated to be finished.
