Ayana Renewable Power, funded by the National Investment and Infrastructure Fund (NIIF), and Greenstat ASA’s subsidiary Greenstat Hydrogen India, have engaged into an agreement to construct green hydrogen projects.

The companies will create large-scale green hydrogen solutions with the goal of providing sustainable hydrogen to industrial and commercial customers in India on a long-term basis. A pilot project will be launched in Karnataka, according to a joint statement.

This collaboration helps India’s National Hydrogen Mission, which aims to establish India as a global centre for the production and export of green hydrogen, according to the release.

“By 2050, India expects to manufacture three-quarters of its hydrogen from renewable energy sources,” Shivanand Nimbargi, CEO & MD, Ayana, stated. Ayana and Greenstat, as domain experts, possess the necessary competence to facilitate this expansion.”

“It is with great satisfaction and optimism that Greenstat looks forward to a long and fruitful relationship with Ayana,” stated Sturle Pedersen, Chairman of Greenstat Hydrogen India. Together, we are convinced that significant measures are required to successfully shift from fossil to renewable energy, and that green hydrogen molecules will play a critical role in this transition. We are adamant that collaboration between our companies will contribute significantly to this green transformation.”
