Putin mocks west, backs hydrogen

In a meeting with the leaders of technical schools and their partners, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that avoiding hydrocarbons is currently on the “Wishlist” of Western nations.

It is important to note that Putin did not completely rule out the possibility of switching to greener energy sources in the future.

If we follow the plans you indicated, then even when hydrocarbons truly disappear and not just as now, someone in the West wants to, we will still have the top positions [in the energy sector]. We have plenty of chances to do this, he remarked.

Hydrogen in demand

The dominant alternative energy source will undoubtedly be pure hydrogen; wind and solar energy cannot be compared to it.

Clean hydrogen will undoubtedly be in demand, and other such alternative energy sources are “not evident,” according to the Russian leader.

“Hydrogen is not comparable to the wind or even the sun. This, in my opinion, is the element that is found most frequently in space, stated Putin.
