According to a new report from energy market experts BloombergNEF, 2022 will be a banner year for the green hydrogen industry, as a growing focus on industrial decarbonization and lowering technological prices drive further investment in new renewable hydrogen production capacity.
It is funded by the Clean Hydrogen Partnership, which is the successor of the Fuel Cells and Hydrogen Joint Undertaking (FCH JU).
Clean hydrogen is being hailed as a potential panacea for decarbonizing sectors such as steel and chemicals. These sectors are now unable to be fully electrified due to the high energy demands of industrial operations and chemical reactions.
Small and medium-sized businesses (such as network administrators, installers, and other technical organizations) may now arrange hydrogen training courses for their employees, conduct physical testing, and exhibit their expertise through the new Hydrogen Innovation Network Groningen (WING). The test network may be located at EnTranCe – Center of Expertise Energy of the Hanze University of Applied Sciences Groningen’s energy transition testing ground.
