H2 Energy is collaborating with a number of partners to construct a nationwide network of hydrogen stations and the associated supply chain in Switzerland and abroad.
It will produce green hydrogen in a 50-megawatt electrolysis plant and sell it through three filling stations in East Frisia at first.
The 100% recyclable product suite from GKN Hydrogen has been developed and optimized over the last few years to become the most efficient and safe hydrogen storage solution available.
Eight of the ventures would deploy key alternative fuel infrastructure for road vehicles (electricity, hydrogen, or liquefied natural gas), explicitly contributing to the European Commission’s priority of delivering a greener EU.
The Shell Energy and Chemicals Park Rhineland is nearing completion of Europe’s largest PEM electrolysis (Polymer Electrolyte Membrane) for the development of green hydrogen.
The main technologies needed are small, powerful rotors and safe tanks, which are currently being developed by experts at the Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Polymer Research IAP, BTU Cottbus, and an industrial partner.
. Another big hydrogen project, the Basque Hydrogen Corridor, or BH2C, is being led by Petronor and Repsol, and was announced on February 22.
Dr. Matthias Jurytko, who is currently Plant Manager and Head of Production at the Mercedes-Benz plant in Wörth, will join cellcentric, a Daimler Truck AG and Volvo Group fuel cell joint venture, on June 1, 2021. He will become the company’s Managing Director and CEO.
It is believed to be just the second hydrogen station in the world, after one in Halle, Belgium.
The station is scheduled to open in the second half of 2021 and will provide green hydrogen to large vehicles such as buses, refuse trucks, and fire engines.
