The global commitment to sustainable and clean energy solutions continues to gain momentum, with nations increasingly turning to innovative technologies and partnerships. In this pursuit, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have emerged as key players, engaging in fruitful discussions and collaborations on clean energy and hydrogen. These diplomatic efforts hold the promise of transforming the energy landscape and contributing to a greener future.

In a significant move towards Oman’s vision of becoming a global leader in renewable hydrogen production, Fluxys, a prominent energy infrastructure company, has committed to acquiring a 4.9% stake in OQGN, a state-owned transmission system operator in Oman. This partnership aims to harness Oman’s abundant wind and solar resources for a sustainable future.

In a recent development, the Ministry of Energy and Minerals took part in a technical workshop titled “Methods of Underground Energy Storage” on September 13, 2023. The event, described in a statement by the Specialized Energy Platform, explored Oman’s potential in underground hydrogen storage, leveraging its geological features like salt domes and porous rock formations.
