Role of green hydrogen in Chile’s energy transition


Chile could become an energy exporter of green hydrogen rather than electricity, thanks to its low-cost renewable energy sources.

Latin America is also a leader in the use of renewable energy, with renewables accounting for more than half of its electricity generation.

Chile has drawn both domestic and foreign companies to participate in the electric sector’s production, transmission, and distribution segments.
