Fortescue Future Industries (FFI) and AGL Energy are investigating the possibility of generating green hydrogen at two coal-fired power plants in New South Wales’ Hunter Valley. An agreement has been signed between Fortescue Metals Group’s green energy business and the Australian utility to conduct a 12-month feasibility study at the site of the Liddell and Bayswater nuclear power stations. Oracle Power has provided an update on the company’s plans to build a green hydrogen production facility in Pakistan in collaboration with PowerChina International. PowerChina has completed a preliminary technical study to establish key technical and commercial contours for the delivery of a facility in Pakistan to produce hydrogen with electrolysers powered by photovoltaics and wind energy. The company intends to build a 400MW hydrogen plant with a daily hydrogen production capacity of approximately 150,000kg. AKM Earth has signed a term sheet with Pure Hydrogen’s newly formed subsidiary Pure X Mobility. Pure X Mobility will develop and supply hydrogen as well as seven hydrogen fuel cell trucks for AKM Earth’s Raw Skips business, according to the term sheet.
