European Union (EU) and Japan have decided to strengthen their energy cooperation.

Funded by the Ministry of Ecological Transition, the green hydrogen plan will absorb about 70% of the related development funds allocated by the PNRR.

According to the “Strategy of Social and Economic Development of the Azerbaijan Republic for 2022-2026,” among the key goals are to boost the use of renewable energy sources, environmentally friendly automobiles, and “green technology.”

The construction of two plants sized to manufacture 5 kilos of hydrogen per hour is planned and, later, the implementation of a plant 10 times larger.

The project will be located in Cerro Dragón, will have a capacity of 150 MW, and will have the resources to produce the aforementioned energy vectors, according to the company’s CEO, Marcos Bulgheroni.
