Shell New Energies, a subsidiary of the worldwide energy company, established a novel technical solution for the off-grid power supply of a mobile pressurized hydrogen filling station. HyShelter’s wide application areas include uninterruptible emergency power supply for data centers, municipal utilities, hospitals, and other important public facilities, as well as off-grid charging infrastructure for battery-electric vehicles. The fuel cell power plant’s basic components are three Proton Motor PM Frame S43 fuel cell systems.

Hexagon Purus announced the signing of an exclusive long-term supply arrangement with a major European bus OEM. Hexagon Purus will provide hydrogen storage systems for the OEM’s next generation two-axle (12 meter) and articulated (18 meter) fuel cell buses. Hexagon Purus has been a long-standing customer of this OEM. Deliveries under the LTA will occur between 2021 and 2024 and are expected to generate around EUR 30 million in revenue (including some deliveries already made in 2021). Neste has entered the execution phase of the MultiPLHY collaboration with its partners. The MultiPLHY project seeks to develop, integrate, and operate the world’s first multi-megawatt-scale (2.4 MW) high-temperature electrolyzer system at Neste’s renewable products refinery in Rotterdam in order to demonstrate the production of green hydrogen for refinery activities. Sunfire developed the high-temperature electrolyzer technology. The MultiPLHY project began in early 2020 and has since finished the conceptual design phase while finalizing the detailed engineering.
