The electrolysis project will produce hydrogen for filling stations and other clients in the area using electricity from the nearby Hollandia solar park.
Allianz Capital Partners (ACP), a subsidiary of Allianz Global Investors and Allianz insurance companies (Allianz), a German-based investor in renewable energy and infrastructure, has announced that it has entered into an agreement to acquire a minority stake in Nordic Ren-Gas Oy, a Finnish project developer for green hydrogen and power-to-gas (PtG) projects (Ren-Gas).
According to a senior official at the Ministry of Energy and Minerals, Oman’s government anticipates attracting investment totaling more than $20 billion in the green hydrogen sector by 2030.
Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez stated on Friday that an underwater pipeline to transport green hydrogen between Spain and France will cost approximately 2.5 billion euros ($2.6 billion), adding that he hoped the European Union will partially fund the project.

In response to the growing demand for clean fuel, Air Products and the renewable energy company AES Corp. will invest roughly $4 billion to construct the largest green hydrogen facility in the United States.
