Nel Hydrogen Electrolyser AS has now signed a firm contract with HH2E for 120 MW of alkaline electrolyzer equipment. The value of the contract is approximately EUR 34 million.

In order to increase output at its PEM electrolyzer manufacturing facility in Wallingford, Connecticut, Nel has made the final investment decision. By 2025, the project will increase yearly output capacity to about 500 MW.

The new plant, which is located on the Norwegian peninsula of Herya, has a capacity of 500 megawatts.
The H2StationTM modules will be installed in the planned HysetCo station in Le Bourget, which will be operational in 2022, thanks in part to the FCH JU (Fuel Cells and Hydrogen Joint Undertaking) public-private cooperation.
The purchase orders are worth around EUR 2 million, and the equipment is slated to arrive in late 2022 or early 2023.
