Tekmar Energy has secured a contract from cable manufacturer Prysmian Group to supply its Generation 10 TekTube Cable Protection System (CPS) for the Neart na Gaoithe (NnG) offshore wind farm in the UK. The 450MW NnG project, jointly owned by EDF Renewables and ESB, is located in the Firth of Forth, Scotland. Once complete the project has the potential to generate enough renewable energy to supply power to around 375,000 Scottish homes. Aemetis’ “Carbon Zero” biofuels production plants are designed to produce biofuels, including renewable jet fuel utilizing renewable hydrogen and non-edible vegetable oils sourced from existing Aemetis biofuels plants and other sources. The Aemetis “Carbon Zero 1” plant in Riverbank, California is expected to utilize hydroelectric and other renewable power available onsite to produce 25 million gallons per year of jet fuel, renewable diesel, and other byproducts. KfW IPEX-Bank is financing the expansion and operation of the gas transport pipeline network of the German operator Nowega GmbH. It will provide debt capital of around EUR 40 million, with a further EUR 40 million contributed by DekaBank. The Münster-based company Nowega GmbH is the transmission system operator of an approximately 1,500-km-long gas network located in the federal states of Lower Saxony and North Rhine-Westphalia. Wildfire Energy has secured a $100,000 grant from the Australian Government Department of Industry, Science, Energy and Resources as part of the Business Research and Innovation Initiative (BRII).
