Tekmar Energy has secured multiple contracts to supply cable protection systems for the Sheyang, Qidong, and Dalian Zhuanghe offshore wind farm projects in China. The offshore wind farms have a combined total output of over 300MW, and once constructed will power over 150,000 households in the Jiangsu and Liaoning Provinces. The International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the CARICOM Development Fund (CDF) to support a transition from fossil-fuel dependency to a more resilient and sustainable low carbon economic development model in Caribbean Small Island Developing States (SIDS). Vestas has received an 22 MW order of 2 and 4 MW platform turbine components that qualify for the 60 percent PTC value from an undisclosed customer. UK has made a big step forward towards the net zero targets with the first hydrogen powered train run on the UK mainline, as part of a project in partnership with the University of Birmingham.
