Williams made a direct investment in Aurora Hydrogen, a firm developing technology to convert natural gas to hydrogen without emitting carbon dioxide (CO2). The technique of Aurora Hydrogen converts methane into hydrogen and solid carbon without producing carbon dioxide. Williams’ investment will enable the creation of a demonstration plant by 2023 and the scaling of production to 200 kilogram per day. Doral Group, an Israeli renewable energy firm, has made an investment in an electrolyser developer in order to gain access to its technology in support of its global green hydrogen project pipeline initiative. Specifically, Doral Energy-Tech Ventures, the corporate venture capital arm of Doral, has made an undisclosed investment in H2Pro Ltd. Moreover, the latter has agreed to deliver 200 MW of its E-TAC systems until 2030 for use in Doral’s green hydrogen projects in Europe, the United States, and Israel. The first fully integrated hydrogen fuel cell research and development facility in Australia has commenced construction on the Deakin University campus in Warrnambool, as part of the Andrews Labor Government’s continuous support for fuel cell and renewable technology. A German industrial gas firm has ordered hydrogen distribution equipment from Hexagon Purus’s subsidiary Wystrach. Wystrach’s hydrogen transport systems will distribute hydrogen for industrial purposes in Germany. TECO2030 and AVL List GmbH have signed a collaboration agreement for the deployment of TECO2030’s fuel cell stacks in AVL’s DemoTruck, which is powered by the HyTruck Fuel Cell System. The DemoTruck project is now in the process of creating a prototype class 8 / 40-ton truck with exceptional power density capabilities and a perfect form factor for the integration of over 300kW net fuel cell units onto regular truck chassis. Babcock & Wilcox (B&W) has partnered with Newpoint Gas to supply innovative hydrogen generation, decarbonization, and combustion technologies for the rehabilitation of the former U.S. Department of Energy Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant site near Piketon, Ohio. B&W will provide its BrightLoop technology to manufacture hydrogen and extract carbon dioxide for storage, as well as a steam generator leveraging the company’s BrightGen hydrogen combustion technology to generate clean, nearly emission-free energy.
