Making Stockholm Sweden’s most environmentally friendly port is the aim.
Instead of splitting water molecules to produce hydrogen, the method divides nitrogen and hydrocarbon compounds present in wastewater and other feedstocks.
The industrial demonstration, created by French Research Institutes and Laboratories, will supply environmentally clean power to the COAF SMART Center
Regional airline Skytrans has teamed with Stralis Aircraft to design and test Australia’s first aviation with hydrogen-electric propulsion that will eliminate all aircraft emissions. The zero-emissions hydrogen-electric propulsion system (HEPS) will be installed on a Beech 1900D Airliner, and a trial flight will be conducted in North Queensland to demonstrate the system’s suitability for the region’s harsh circumstances and pristine ecosystems. Skytrans and Stralis Aircraft are taking a significant step toward designing and producing the nation’s first hydrogen-electric aircraft without sacrificing safety, performance, or cost. Skytrans, which is partially owned by former Queensland & Cowboys player Johnathan Thurston, is a…
Large energy users in the Indo-Pacific area and their traditional energy providers are investigating the potential role of clean hydrogen in energy systems, as well as their prospective involvement in hydrogen supply chains. Several Asian countries are spearheading the creation of a hydrogen-based economy by announcing and implementing hydrogen strategies and supporting new projects, while others are just beginning to describe their ideas and objectives. This paper examines the national ambitions and objectives of the largest Asian nations and their traditional energy suppliers, as well as the major consequences of the development of clean hydrogen in the Indo-Pacific area. In…
Hazer Group has announced the conclusion of construction and commissioning at the Hazer Commercial Demonstration Project (CDP) in Woodman Point, Western Australia. Hazer Group is an ASX-listed technology development firm that was founded in 2010 to commercialize University of Western Australia research. In 2020, the project became the first large-scale, functioning, and fully integrated demonstration of the hazer method. Biogas produced by the Woodman Point Water Recovery Facility as a byproduct of wastewater treatment will be used as a feedstock for the process. Using iron ore as a reaction catalyst, the technique creates hydrogen without creating CO2. The carbon in…
GKN Hydrogen and Southern California Gas Co. (SoCalGas) will collaborate with the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) of the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) on an innovative green hydrogen storage system. HY2MEGA from GKN Hydrogen enables the safe, long-term storage of sustainable energy without the need for compression. This combination technology might, at scale, provide robust power in the event of widespread power outages. In addition, it emphasizes the technology required for carbon neutrality and the acceleration of clean fuel programs. At the ARIES facility on NREL’s Flatirons Campus near Boulder, Colorado, two HY2MEGA hydrogen storage subsystems will connect to…
With the grand launch of a new multimillion-dollar production and research facility in Burnaby on Wednesday, Metro Vancouver’s status as a hydrogen fuel cell technology centre was bolstered. Daimler Truck AG and Volvo Group established cellcentric GmbH & Co. KG, a division focusing in the production of fuel cell systems for medium- and heavy-duty vehicles, in 2013. One of its new plants just opened in Burnaby’s Riverbend Business Park, just a few blocks away from Ballard Power Systems, where cellcentric was conceived in 2008. Formerly housed in a wing of Ballard’s Burnaby headquarters, the new cellcentric facility is twice as…
The London-based truck manufacturer Tevva has introduced its first hydrogen-electric vehicle with a range of 310 miles (499 km). The truck will be the first vehicle of its sort to be manufactured, designed, and mass-produced in the United Kingdom, according to the business. The 7,500 kilogram vehicle, which will be unveiled today at the Road Transport Expo in Warwickshire, will be constructed in London’s Tilbury. The next year will see the release of 12 ton and 19 ton models. The primary advantage of adding hydrogen into an electric truck is the energy density, which means that the system and energy…
