Nordex Group has received another order from Spain comprising eleven N155/4.X turbines. The turbines are planned for a 50 MW wind farm in the country’s north. The order also requires a long-term Premium Service for the turbines. The wind farm’s building is scheduled to be finished this year. The Nordex Group will mount the turbines on 120-meter-high concrete towers manufactured in the company’s concrete-tower plant in Motilla del Palancar, Castilla-La Mancha. The turbines will be installed in the Nordex Group’s Vall D’Uxo factory, which is situated 320 kilometers away.

Vestas will supply turbines for 132MW wind projects in the United States. An undisclosed wind project totaling 55MW will be comprised of 24 V120-2.2 MW and 4 V110-2.0 MW wind turbines including previously purchased PTC components.  The order covers the supply, construction, and commissioning of the turbines, as well as a 20-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM5000) service arrangement to ensure the asset’s optimal efficiency. Turbine delivery will begin in the third quarter of 2021 with commissioning scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2021. Vestas has received 168MW EnVentus orders from the Mediterranean. Iberdrola is advancing the development of renewable projects in Greece with a 102 MW turbine supply contract for its Askio II, Askio III and Rokani wind farms. The Rokani project, in the Viotia region, will install three EnVentus V162-6.0 MW turbines, to be used for the first time in Greece. The Nordex Group has been hired by Ignitis Group, Lithuania’s state-owned energy holding firm, to supply 14 N149/4.0-4.5 turbines. The Delta4000 series turbines are planned for the 63 MW Mazeikiai wind farm in the country’s northwest region. The deal also includes a 15-year premium service contract for the turbines. Vestas has been awarded a 30 MW contract for the Lenalea wind farm in Ireland, which is being built by SSE Renewables and Coillte Renewable Energy. Vestas will supply and build seven V117-4.2 MW turbines in 4.3 MW operating mode for the County Donegal project. The turbines will be serviced under a multi-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement, which will make use of Vestas’ current service base in the area.
