In order to promote the hydrogen economy, Chemours plans $200 million investment to boost capacity and enhance technology for its Nafion ion exchange materials.
The delivery of industrial gases is their area of expertise. In addition to increasing the circular aspect of the thermal recycling facility, the new plant “will represent an important, and above all, local source of green hydrogen,” according to HZI.
The funds would be divided among ten French hydrogen businesses, with a special emphasis on electrolysis and equipment for commercial fuel-cell trucks.
The new IMI Vivo electrolyzer, which divides water into hydrogen and oxygen by passing an electric current across it over a membrane, was introduced by the business to help the industrial use of hydrogen energy.
