Fortescue, a giant Australian mining company, began courting the government over hydrogen more than a year ago, according to emails released under the Freedom of Information Act.
At the appropriate time, the company will also look to raise additional capital for its electric vehicles (EV) business on its own terms.
The majority of this is due to the company’s projects, which range from high-performance sports cars to hydrogen-powered Baja 1000 buggies.
The Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) was established in 2012 with the goal of improving the competitiveness of renewable energy technologies and increasing the supply of renewable energy. This goal has since been broadened, and the agency’s mandate has now been expanded.
According to reports, Japan’s government wants to lead the world in hydrogen use, which does not release carbon dioxide, by building safety technologies and rapidly developing systems and facilities.
The two Institute for Frontier Materials (IFM) teams and their industry collaborators will use the safe energy storage potential of boron nitride nanosheets and the unique biological features of silk to achieve their goals.
Hans Olof Nilsson, a Swedish sexagenarian, has created the world’s first completely self-sufficient house, powered by the sun and hydrogen, in the outskirts of Gothenburg, Sweden.
The Port of Rotterdam Authority, Koole Terminals, Chiyoda Corporation, and Mitsubishi Corporation have signed an agreement to jointly investigate the feasibility of commercial-scale hydrogen imports from overseas sources to one of Koole’s terminals in the Rotterdam port, utilizing Chiyoda’s proven hydrogen storage and transportation technology SPERAHydrogen. Northwest-Europe will need to import substantial amounts of hydrogen in order to achieve net zero CO2 emissions. The Port of Rotterdam Authority is therefore investigating ways to establish new hydrogen supply chains from nations with cost-effective hydrogen production and distribution. Numerous enterprises in Rotterdam, such as Koole Terminals, are extremely interested in this quickly…
Viritech stated that adopting clean hydrogen technology to power road, aviation, and marine transport provides a big chance for the UK to restore its global engineering leadership position. Viritech, a company based in the United Kingdom that produces a variety of hydrogen-based technologies, made this idea in their call to action, which reads, “Hydrogen is the UK’s Leapfrog Opportunity in the Race to Zero Emissions.” The organization makes the case for increased public and commercial sector commitment to a game-changing technology that has the potential to re-establish the UK’s position in the automotive sector – hydrogen. This might constitute a…
