Air Products Canada has renewed its commitment to hydrogen by becoming an Executive Member of the Canadian Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Association (CHFCA). The industrial gas giant has over 50 years of experience with hydrogen, and its technologies are being employed in over 1.5 million hydrogen refueling operations each year across 20 nations. This will be the first green hydrogen unit in the country. Previously, plans to manufacture ‘grey hydrogen’ from fossil fuels like natural gas were announced.

The Japanese government has established a target of carbon neutrality by 2050, with a goal of supplying more than 420 000 tpy of clean hydrogen.

The two companies’ partnership offers a complete solution for making renewable hydrogen-powered trains a reality.
