Vestas has appointed Eduardo Medina, currently president of Vestas Mediterranean, as the president of Vestas North America. Simultaneously, Javier Rodriguez Diez, currently senior vice president, Global Sales and Key Account Management, will supersede Eduardo Medina as president of Vestas Mediterranean. OHT has signed the contract for the transport and installation of foundations for the Dogger Bank B, the second phase of the offshore wind farm. This follows the first contract for the transport and installation of foundations at Dogger Bank A, signed earlier this year. The project will be a continuation for OHT’s specialist new build vessel Alfa Lift after completing installation work on Dogger Bank A. RPM Access (RPMA), an independent Iowa wind developer, has signed a 20-year power purchase agreement with Central Iowa Power Cooperative (CIPCO). Haskel Hydrogen Systems has been awarded a contract to supply ATCO and Fortescue Metals Group (Fortescue) with fully packaged refueling systems for their H2 Refueller project, which has recently received backing from the Western Australian Government. The project will focus on the design and construction of the first H2 refueling station in Western Australia (WA), which will be led by Haskel, and will support ATCO’s and Fortescue’s fleet of Toyota Mirais, hydrogen fuel cell powered vehicles that produce no emissions other than pure water. ORIX Corporation has signed a framework agreement for the partial acquisition of shares in Greenko Energy, a company undertaking renewable energy business in India. Going forward, ORIX aims to execute definitive agreements and completion of the transaction by the end of the year subject to investment committee approval after completing due diligence and other legal procedures required. In addition to acquiring Greenko’s issued shares from the founders’ group, ORIX will integrate its entire wind power generation business in India into Greenko in exchange for Greenko’s new shares.
