Metacon has completed the acquisition of Water2H2 AB. Metacon already owns 20% of Water2H2 and has a call option on the remaining 80% pending a decision on use in January 2022. Due to the fact that both the electrolysis market and Water2H2 have outperformed expectations, Metacon has already discussed and decided to complete the merger and integration of the firms in accordance with Water2H2’s owners. The green hydrogen market is developing rapidly at the moment and is likely to continue increasing in the coming years, owing to the transformation of the transportation sector, the steel industry, the energy sector, and…
LIFTE H2 announced the extension of their presence in Berlin and Boston, as well as the launch of a technology-diverse project development service for next-generation hydrogen infrastructure. Veterans and organizations in the hydrogen industry have reacted favourably to LIFTE’s basic ideals and long-term collaborations. Within five months of debut, LIFTE engaged 24 LIFTErs in Germany and the United States, predominantly technical professionals with at least six years of expertise developing hydrogen products and projects. LIFTE’s capacity will be doubled again by early 2022 to fulfill demand. LIFTE has joined or increased their engagement in H2Europe, SAE, CEP, ISO, CSA, and…
TECO 2030 has passed another milestone in its quest to produce zero-emission maritime solutions. DNV has officially granted the cleantech company a “Approval in Principle” (AiP) for its Hydrogen Fuel Cell System and three variants of the Fuel Cell Module FCM400. DNV – one of the world’s premier classification and certification agencies – has decided that TECO 2030’s Hydrogen Fuel Cell System and three variants of its Fuel Cell Module FCM400TM meet with all applicable rules and regulations, codes, and standards. “The Approval in Principle by DNV marks another important milestone for us in our development of zero-emission solutions for…
Repsol has produced renewable hydrogen for the first time using biomethane as a feedstock. This renewable hydrogen has been used to manufacture low carbon footprint fuels such as gasoline, diesel and kerosene for aviation. This milestone has taken place at the Repsol refinery in Cartagena, where 10 tons of renewable hydrogen have been produced from 500 MWh of biomethane, which has avoided the emission into the atmosphere of about 90 tons of CO2. In this way, Repsol takes a first step to replace conventional natural gas with biomethane of sustainable origin to produce renewable hydrogen in its industrial complexes and…
Hyundai Glovis stated on the 4th that it will debut the ECOH brand of environmentally friendly energy solutions. ECOH is a combination of the words “Eco” and “Human,” which mean “environment” and “human,” respectively.
Through Phillips 66’s Switzerland-based COOP retail joint venture, the Emerging Energy division is already supervising a few hydrogen initiatives, including plans to study hydrogen as a fuel alternative for light-duty and heavy-duty cars.
All of these components, with the exception of petrochemicals and, most likely, other necessities, will be effectively replaced with hydrogen, according to advocates of the “new energy transition.”
Tesvolt announced the news today, estimating that the new deal will bring in EUR 40 million (USD 46.5 million) in income by 2023 for the Wittenberg-based firm. This is the company’s largest order to date, according to the company.
SKF will engage in and support research into the use of hydrogen in industrial processes and energy systems as part of the cooperation, accelerating the development of fossil-free bearing steel.
Investment is increasing in hydrogen projects to support the clean energy transition, but further efforts are needed to reduce costs and encourage wider use across sectors
